2 inch ball mount that fits more snug?
I bought a Reese ball mount and it fits ok but is kinda loose and not as snug as on my other truck hitch receiver.... So you would prob hear it move around while towing...just curious if there is another brand that fits more snug?

If the trailer coupler is loose on the ball there is an adjustment
nut on the underside of the coupler to take up some of the slack.
The receiver uses a 5/8 pin to hold the hitch on the truck.
Hope this helps

I meant that the actual ball mount does not fit snug into the hitch and there is some play... up and down, side to side..
Did a quick search on etrailer and see they sell CUSHION ball mounts that take care of this problem...

I noticed that "play" right after I got my new truck, and slide one of the many ball mounts I have into the receiver.....there is about .080" of slop both up/down and side/side.
My first guess proved to be correct. I suspected that Ford had specially designed the receivers on the trucks so that they are "non-standard", which would make most folks purchase the ball mount/hitch from them.
I called my Ford dealership and asked about the exact size of the receiver.....they couldn't tell me right off the bat, but that evening when my Wife got home (she works there), she had the information: Receiver is metric (53mm). That's 2.086" or right at 2 1/16". Just enough slop that a standard SAE 2" hitch won't work without a lot of noise and jostling around.
I solved my issue by welding shims to the top and side of my hitch(s) so it fits snugly.

some tongue weight takes care of the problem
Really it is very annoying. Only time i notice it is while pull small empty trailers or something small like a jackhammer compressors . Normally I'll cut a thin wedge out of some lumber scraps and drive in in real tight.

I went to a local trailer shop and told them of the problem of my receiver being too loose. I did not have my ball with me, so I could not show them as they looked at me like I was stupid! They said that slop was good, I just feel that it is way too much. I have used fender washers and electrical tape as shims. The reason I went to the trailer shop was because someone told me I could buy shims??? Does anybody know of a shim for a receiver?
