Default 2.5 bypass shocks

I'm working with foa to make 2.5 bypass shocks with reservoir. Here is the mock up going to place the tubes in the right places. It will have 2

2.5 bypass shocks-forumrunner_20120411_193215.jpg

tubes for compression and 1 tube for rebound. More to come.

Just curious why a 2.5 and not a 3?
