I want running lights so bad, but this seems way to complicated. Guess I'm stuck with just the puddle lights. I wonder if a guy can just supply power from one of the lights inside the cab somewhere, that comes on when the lights go on?

I think some have pulled power from the headlight switch and just ran the wires for running lights.

Thanks 1a Auto. They look/work great. Just waiting on a set of LED's from VLED for the puddle lights.

Actually not that hard, since I had the door panels off already, I just ran the wire and tapped it, took about an hour because I wasn't exactly sure where to run the wire, but I could probably do it in about an hour now, very simple.

I'm looking at getting a set of these for my Limited. Couple questions:

1. Can these be PTM or are there caps that can be purchased to PTM the truck?
2. I think I am reading correctly above but want to clarify, are you saying that the side marker lights do not work with the parking lights/headlights?

Seems like everything else should be plug and play.

1 - yes. Caps can be removed and painted. they sell chrome caps as well. I'd presume you can buy a standard black cap as well and get it painted or just pop off the ones that come with it and paint them. but yes. sand, prime, paint, win.

2 - they are just plug and play. if you look at the stock mirrors there are no running lights on them. but there are puddle lights that come on when you open the door (on most models), stay on for a bit, then turn off once closed for a short time. So, this aspect will work for one of the "running" lights, but if you want that light to be a true running light tied to the light switch you will need to run wires as this is not a normal mirror operation .

Perfect, thank you for the info. I see there are 3 or 4 different versions on the 1A site with essentially the same options but pricing varies $30-$40 depending on which one you chose. I want to make sure I select the right set. I have a 2013 limited with power fold, heat, etc etc.

Anyone know the correct part number? I guess I could email the site to find out which one is right.

This I don't not agree with, or else I am not understanding fully. Every feature is plug and play except for the running light, it will act as a puddle lamp without modifying anything, and will turn off after the truck has been running. A new wire has to be run for the running light to activate the marker light, and I posted the thread above to how I did it, by following another thread.

This is correct. I put these on my 2012 FX4 and needed to run a separate wire from inside the truck to have running lights instead of the bottom bulb being a "puddle lamp".
