Default 18 inch wheel width question

Hello All

I have BFG TKO 275x70r18E tires. BFG website calls for 7 to 8.5 width wheels. Not finding many options out there for 18 inch wheels in those width, but finding loads of 9 inch width. Can i go with 18x9 or is that a big No No? And have a 2010 F150 so looking for black rims and to push out the tires around 1 inch. Thanks

A lot of tire manufacturers have a spread sheet for tires on the width of the rim. I know the Interco Iroks that I want on my 18's is supposed to be a 9 inch or better tire. That's why I haven't gotten them yet. You will probably find it hard to find rims in 9 wide.

Edit** 18x10 is the recommended rim for the tires I'm wanting.

There are many 18x9 choices, i am just not sure if safe to run tires that say 7-8.5 inch rims on 18x9.

I have gear alloy 726mb's in 18x9 with a +18 offset and run bfg 275/70r18's no problem. I have also seen quite a few other members with similar setups.

Here's a picture of my '13 SCrew with 18 x 9" Worx 803 Beast (+25 offset) and Goodyear Wrangler AT's (275/65 R18). I have a 2 1/2" Rough Country level and am about 1/2" high in the front. Definitely have plenty of room for taller tires.
