I too would like to know how BL4CKOUT's turn signals look with the reflector painted black. I like the look.
On another note, anyone having any issues with leaking or moisture after they have re-sealed the lenses?

I want to do mine soon, but with only a light tint on the amber side markers. The turn signal reflectors might only get a light tint too if the full black doesn't work well.

After reading this thread.. I got motivated to do mine. Took about 30 min to get the first one apart... 5 min to get the second one apart.. The most time consuming part of this was getting the old sealant out of the channel. And the second longest part was fixing my F-ups.. got the first coat of paint on... and one of the shrouds fell face first on the ground.. with fresh wet paint.. SO.. after it dried, i got to re-sand it all over again and repaint it. Overall took me about 3 hrs to complete.. I let the lights set for a few hours before installing them
One thing I tried that seemed to help out. After i got the channel cleaned of all the old sealant, I heated it back up and and reshaped the edges to give a tighter seal.
One BAD thing that happened.. I used the 300* for 10 minutes option.. and when it was all said and done.. I have pretty severe heat cracks in my lenses now.. not really noticeable until I turn the lights on.
Thanks everyone for the input on this thread.. I really helped out alot!

This is a awesome mod and great thread to come across. I am certainly interested in trying it for the pure cost savings vs. desired outcome of simple black backgrounds in the headlights. It seems there has been mixed results though, either it goes reall smoothly or kinda a real PITA. Anybody have any recent results? I'd also like to probably smoke out the corner markers too with some Niteshades I have.
