I don't have experience with Ford DRLs, but in my previous Chevy (which had them whether it was a US or Canadian build) disabling the auto headlights would also disable the DRLs (if I remember correctly.) Mine was old enough that it didn't have an auto disable position on the headlight switch, you had to quickly hit the dome light override button a few times to do it.

That's the way the Chevy DRLs work, they turn off when you put it in park.

Just realized I mentioned I would be happy if the HIDs were on 100% of the time as daytimers, I just don't want them on/off while putting in PARK. (Hard on bulbs). My solution to My problem is going to be covering my light sensor on the dash.

It will always think it's night time, and lights will remain ON always when truck is running and auto turn off when truck is turned off.

Awesome. Save $180 too. Considering the bulb set cost $40 from TRS, 180/40= 4 sets+.....

This is what ill do, cancel my appointment.

The dealer has the option of activating the taillights too for DRL. I saw the computer with my own eyes while getting mine activated.

When I went in to have my DRLs activated on my '13, the guy said, "Did you already discuss this with your salesman when you purchased the truck? It's $99 to do this." Me, being the honest chap that I am, said no. I should have said yes! But karma and all that...

Default Don't pay for the dealer to do it.

When the dealer turned my DRLs on, they did it for free and with no appointment. I was there for an oil change and it took them less than 5 minutes to do. Joel, your dealership should be called a stealership. It would be far more accurate

I agree. Stealer. My dealer did mine and recalibrated my speedo for the new tires for free at the same time. Took less than 10 minutes to do. My dealer seems fair. They installed my wheel spacer/ adapters for $25 whereas the local off-road place wanted $99 to do the work.

Mine only when in gear to. Tech told me that's how they are supposed to be.

Thumbs up

I had mine done at my Ford Quick Lane place today when I had my oil changed. It was my 5th oil change there so it was free and they didn't charge me for the DRL addition. Pretty damn good day!

When I picked my truck up, I asked, they wanted ~$90 and wouldn't promise that they could do it. I'll have to try again when in for an oil change.
