So I’ve got a 2013 lariat with the Sync 2 8in touch screen and am thinking about replacing it. It seems like most people do a Sync 3 conversion but I’m looking to go with something aftermarket. Crutchfield says to put an aftermarket headunit in you have to cut the subframe of the dash. Has anyone replaced their factory radio and done that?
