Default Drivers side floor board wet

Hey guys, just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. My drivers side carpet stays damp under the floor mat. Not sure why or where the water is coming from. When I bought the truck the prior owner had a aftermarket back up camera, and they ran the wire up into the cab by running it under the door and up the fire wall. I thought that might be where it was coming from, so I ditched the cheap backup camera and installed a better quality camera, and ran the wire into cab by bringing it in under the door sill plate through a rubber gromet and ran it woth the wiring harness to the fuse panel under the dash. When I pulled off the sill plate to run the wire I notice water in the channel where the wiring harness runs. So I dried that out, and thought I fixed the problem and it did for a while. Long story short I pulled my floor mats out the other day to vacuum the truck and what do you know the carpet was slightly damp again, not as bad as before but still damp. Any ideas why this may be happening and where it could be coming from. I don't see any water leaking in from rain or when washing the truck. It is never wet(damp) any where else. Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks guys. I'll look into those. But isn't the A/C drain on the passanger side of the truck? Just to be clear it's wet on the drivers side front floor board, no other area is wet. I may pull the sill plate and check all the gromets again, and do a little more checking unde the hood to make sure there isn't some where water could be leaking in. Now that I think about it I had a 2003 F150 that would sometimes be wet on the drivers side, but I had the rubber floor liner so that wasn't a big deal as having wet carpet and pad is.

The drain is generally on the passenger side but if it gets plugged, water like electricity always takes the path of least resistance, so the water will find another way out.

When I first purchased my truck I had exactly the same issue. The drivers side floor was soaked. Carpet was soaked and the insulation underneath was soaked. I pulled the sill plate and it was filled with water. I vacuumed and dried everything and put back thinking it was just a one time thing or maybe the dealer I bought it from left window open during a rainstorm. Then it happened again. And many times over . Always happens after it rained. I did notice if I park truck down a a slight hill. The front end down. It wouldn't leak. Eventually I took it to a dealer who ran a sprinkler on it for 8 hours to see where it was leaking from. He said it was coming from the door. Whatever he did. He fixed it. I will try to look for the receipt to check exactly what he replaced
