12 Volt power points in 2010 Ford F150 FX4
Do any of the 12 volt power points.....lighter, in console, on dash and behind console shut off power after a certain amount of time when truck is shut off or do they stay energized the whole time?. Curious as I want to put a Garmin GPS unit in my truck and don't want to continually unplug it. Thanks

IIRC, they're hot all the time.
Would be each to check ... Plug-in the accessory, turn-off the vehicle, and remove the key. Is the power-light for the accessory and/or the accessory -ON- ?

Thanks Joe. I just don't have the patience to wait as I thought some of he new Fords out there have power on the outlets for may 15 minutes or so when it is shut off and then disconnect. Not sure if this is true or not

Use a fuse with wire tap in the passenger side kick panel. Cant remember which # I used, but I pulled power from there so I had 12v keyed power to activate a relay that energizes my light bar. You can search on Google or use a multi meter to find the keyed power
