Default 12 volt electric for backup camera

I have a 2012 XTL with the tow package and brake system. I plan on installing a backup camera and I want to pull 12v electric for the camera from the trailer hitch plug. Does anyone know which color wire would be hot only when the truck is in reverse and which wire is the ground.

Just tap it into your reverse lights.
Pull out the light assembly and all the wires are accessible.

I'm getting ready to wire mine up too and was wondering the same thing.

Thanks, raceman!

Don't forget to use a test light first, turn truck on without starting, put on ebrake, shift into reverse, make sure reverse lights are on and probe 7 pin connection. You never know they could be wired differently so use caution. For the ground use a self tapping screw into frame
