Based on location and that the wire appears to tie into the same harness that go's to the oil pressure sensor. I would say its the oil level sensor connector. See picture below...

Yep, I think you nailed it there. The connector head is the same as the temp connectors. Funny, every connector I've dealt has been different, yet all of these look the same.

Vehicle has both a low oil level switch/sensor and oil pressure sensor.

Well, i found the Cylinder Head Temp sensor and there is a plug already attached. If that sensor fails. I will let my mechanic do that one! It is center line of the engine on the back side of the motor and you access it by getting your hand and 19 mm deep well socket. You have to pull the front passenger tire and inner wall and attack from the side! Thank goodness I bought an endoscope to visualize it?

regarding the oil sensor, that sure looks like a possibility. I will go look and report back!

the good news is I believe Merlyn6976123 was correct! The bad news is either the XLT doesn’t have that option or a previous owner replaced the pan with a new one without a sensor!

Thank You for all the help!! I love these type of Forums! Huge Help!

The plug and fastener look just like the drawing!

I think it’s the sensor if the oil goes to low in the pan and I don’t have one!
