1010 miles mulitple misfires...
I have 1010 miles on my new 150 Ecoboost and while driving today it fell on its face, started sputtering, no power, I mean no power, would not move forward... check engine light on....
Walked home got my 74 bronco which had not been started in two months and started right up and drove back and pulled codes. Multiple misfires on cylinders four through six. Any ideas? Really pissed off. Ford is coming to tow it to the dealership but not how I planned to spend my Sunday afternoon...
Thoughts?

Yup bad drivers side cat most likely. Could be caused by condensation issue or something just defective with that few miles on it.
Edit - doesn't sound like the usual condensation issue even though it is affecting the same cylinders. I'm sure the dealer will fix it up.

It may be something simple. Don't jump to conclusions just yet.

Someone here or on another thread posted a spark plug issue Ford is having with the EB causing misfires. I'm not that worried with mine yet, as it hasn't done it again. But in your case your right in taking it back to the dealer.
While, I'm sure it's possible to have a bad catalyst from the factory, I don't think a perfectly functional one could fail in less than 1500 miles on a new truck. Perhaps bad gas, if you have a reader, plug it in and see if you can get a temp reading from each side.
I did this on my truck when I brought it home with 80 miles on the clock, both cats read the exact same temp, throughout the rev-band. If one side was hotter or cooler than the other, that could indicate a catalyst failure?

It's the Ecobust...hundreds of posts on this forum about the same issue. It's the red headed stepchild of Ford. What an embarrassment. You will see the posts coming to defend Ford but if you have an Ecobust you will eventually encounter the same problems, it's just a matter of time.
