100k mile service questions
Hey everyone, I'm coming up on 100k miles with my 2012 3.7L and recently had the dealer say I needed a ton of service while getting my oil changed. The manual says new spark plugs and change the transmission oil at 100,000 miles. Along with this, I also planned on getting the coolant flushed.
My question to you all: besides transmission oil, new spark plugs and coolant change, what else should I do? What is the proper interval for this maintenance? (i.e. every 60k/100k miles)
I rarely tow and mainly drive highway, so it hasn't been strained much. I've never changed any of these fluids and not sure if that changes anything.

100k is a good time to baseline the fluids in the truck. After 6 years and 100k miles, there isn't a fluid in the truck that could not use replacing. The only ones I see not yet mentioned are the differential fluids and the power steering. I bought a Raptor with 93k and have been doing a project or two each weekend in order to get this done.
Dealers try to sell unnecessary services, Ford sent them a letter earlier this year telling them to stop it. Yet they continue.
Your manual, and the schedule DigitalTrucker linked to, specify what you should do. Nothing else needs to be done.
Manual is at owner.ford.com online.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
Any ideas on good plugs/what the proper gap is? I've seen plenty of threads about the gap not being correct from the factory, so I want to make sure it's right. Also, is it worth upgrading the pugs to something like iridium plugs or is that a waste of money?

I also have a 12 with the 3.7 and did a similar 100k service (160km). Tranny oil isn’t in the manual until 240km so not sure mileage on that. On the 3.7 you have to take off the intake gasket to get to 3 plugs. I did the intake gasket as well as plugs, coolant, rear diff oil and seal. Mileage improved after the service. Had ford do the plugs so gapped to factory spec. 3.7 is a great motor but like anything you have to keep up maintenance for longevity.
