Default '10 with 96k miles!?!?

I was at the gas station filling up and a guy pulled up beside me in a newer f150 with a brush guard and yellow caution lights.... I told him it was a good looking truck..then he replied with "yeah pretty good for almost a hundred thousand miles!" .... WHAT!?!? Yes its a 2010 with 96k miles. He clearly saw my shock and told me he also has an '02 with 800k miles!! Like holy ****!! Thats amazing.. he said the only major stuff he has done on the '02 is timing chain and 2 transmissions... wow.. turns out he works for a company that moves oversized loads. To me that is amazing... guess my truck was a darn good investment!! Just had to share that story!!

My '09 FX4 has 106k miles, I had a '98 5.4 Expedition that I gave my dad, he now has 238k miles on it, with nothing more than routine maintainence, couple coils and exhaust gaskets. I once had a '93 F150 5.0 with 293k and it had a water pump and alternator replaced. Although not much for a diesel, I recently had a '97 F250 powerstroke with 390k and I still see it running around town six months later.
