Default '09 leveling/tire question

Very first post here. Just got my truck 5 mos. ago and love it. '09 XLT screw w/6.5 ft bed, 4WD, 3.55. My question revolves around the cap on the bed. I can tell it's been on the truck for some time. The truck has only 1 1/4-1 3/8" of rake from the constant additional weight in the rear. Can I assume the Daystar 1" leveling kit I'm reading about would be a good choice for me? Also, looking at the tire fitment sticky, the biggest tires I've seen on the stock base "17 wheels are 295/70 with a 2" kit. Thinking I'll go with 285/70 unless I get negative feedback on the set-up and fitment on the truck. Thanks a bunch in advance.

I researched the daystar 1" and most say you get about 1 3/4" of lift from it. I ended up getting a ready lift 2" kit (1 1/4" thick spacer) I got exactly 2" lift at the front which was 2 1/4" lower than the rear before install.

Thanks. I don't want the front being higher than the rear. I'm reading everywhere about the kits actually adding 1/2" over the advertised lift, meaning I'd need a 3/4" spacer. And I doubt that's available so I'm probably out of luck LOL. Thanks again.

The only reason I didn't get the 1" was it was unavailable from the retailer at the time. The ready lift was twice the price but a better product. I've never had a levelled truck and am impressed with the ride, I like it better than stock.

yeah my truck has minimal rake so I can't do a kit that adds more than 1 1/4" of actual lift or my truck would look like Cheech and Chong's car.

Rear blocks or an add-a-leaf aren't to bad price wise. Definitely don't want it nose high.
