Default 09 FX4 Tranny leak (BAD)

So went on vacation for a week and came back to a puddle of what looks to be transmission fluid under the truck. I have not driven it in 7 days and have never seen a drop from the truck before and I am pretty observant. WTF is the deal.

Bulkhead connector seal----- I'm pretty sure that's what it's called. Common issue.

it is what it's called and its very common. You have to remove the pan and pull the tab down for the insert and then disconnect the connector and it comes right out. Worst part is just refilling with fluid haha

also when you remove the seals make sure the new are orange or red. The old ones that leak are black. Hope this helps.

No problem, mines going in Tuesday to replace the seals so I looked up the TSB on it. Otherwise I wouldn't have known.

yeah I've done a ton of them especially a year or so ago but had one last week. They can get pretty bad.

Thanks for the quick responses fellas... it probably dumped maybe half a quart just sitting... I have an appt. Wednesday to take it to Ford because I dont have a garage at the moment to do it in cuz the mustang is in there or else I'd do it myself. We just got a couple inches and expecting more so thats ****ty. Would it be ok to drive it a couple times to work and back. Or will it dump even worse if I drive
