Default 09-10 Chrome Front Bumper Issue

I just got back from the dealer for an oil change/tire rotation and have been complaining about rust on the inside of my chrome front bumper soon after I bought the truck which was 2 months ago.

They tried to remedy it by painting the inside with black paint but didn't do a great job nor did they remove the bumper when they did it. after numerous complaints the service guy I dealt with got in touch with his service manager and told him of my issue and here is what the manager said:

Ford is aware of the problem on all the 2009 & 2010 Chrome Front Bumpers rusting on the inside and are working on a resolve.
He is getting back to me tomorrow and hopefully they will replace the bumper. FYI, here is the phone number for Ford Customer Service 1-800-392-FORD. I would suggest if anyone else has this issue and wants resolve to either call the number below and file a complaint and/or go to their dealer and see if we can all get this resolved!

Bob

Thats ****ty. I was kicking my bumper today trying to knock all the mud loose and it did feel a little flimsy. When I clean it up I'll check it out.

I have a pefect fix for this issue... you can always buy one of my bumpers and get rid of the issue all together... afterall that 2.5mph bumper from the factory serves no protection what so ever... and now they are rusting after 2 months? geez...

I hope it all get resolved for you... thats BS

I have a 4x2 XLT so your bumpers wouldn't look right on my truck.

I just noticed that my front bumper is rusting on the inside, also. I will be keeping an eye on this thread for more details.
