Hi. Just Monday night I bought a 2014 Ford F150 XLT SuperCrew. The only thing about the vehicle that has been disappointing is the sound system. I don't mind the in-dash head unit or anything like that, it just lacks the bass and the punch of what I had in my previous truck (Nissan Titan with subwoofer under the driver seat).

I'm thinking one of these Kicker upgrades I've seen online may be the way to go but I'm not sure which one is the correct one for my vehicle.

My truck is a 2014 Ford F150 XLT SuperCrew. It has the 302A package. It doesn't have leather seats though, they are cloth but there is a center console. The shifter is on the steering column - it is not a part of the center console. The stereo head unit has the 4.2" screen and has Sync but it's not the larger screen where you can connect to it via wi-fi.

I see "Not For Use with Low Level Radio or Sony Subwoofer System". I'm not sure if my truck has either of these systems.

I should mention that whatever upgrade I get should be as OEM as possible. Would one of these upgrade kits work with my particular truck/system? What would you guys recommend?

I have a 2013 XLT that did not have the sony system. I bought the kit that included door speakers and sub. I bought it because it would be a plug and play since I'm not a wiring guy. Totally satisfied. Install was easy. I would do it again.

I'm pretty sure my stock radio isn't the Sony radio but can someone shed some light on what the "low level radio" is?

The supplied harness is direct from the battery to the sub and sub's amp. Two connector's on the end of the harness. The only other connection was the wire ends for the splice into the speaker leads.

Sorry to hear of your issues. I hope it's working out for you. For what it's worth, check to make sure they set the bass setting to Neutral or lower. I go back and forth between -1 and 0.

Did the foot mounts line up with the mounts from the factory Sony sub or did you still end up having to use the rivnuts in the kit and make new mounts?

Unfortunately these will not work on 2009/2010 Trucks with the Sony system (sub or not)

Does that mean the subwoofer will work with the 2011+ Sony systems? They specifically state it doesn't fit 2009/2010...

Do you know if the mounting points to the floor are the same locations as the factory sony sub?

All three mounting tabs on the Kicker lined up perfectly with the stock locations on my 2013.
