I've heard that these racks can cause damage to the aluminum panels if you put too much weight. Any truth to that? If so, what is the maximum weight you recommend putting a 2015+ f150?

We have tons of these on newer F150's. No reports of any issues.
Perhaps I’m old fashioned but I’ve done my research on an expedition rack and grew fond of the KB Voodoo/Max modular rack. I emailed them today telling them that I would like to make a purchase but first I’d like to speak to a live person. I gave them the option of calling me or asking for the number at which I could contact them. I received an email that stated, “any question you have can be asked over email“. I don’t know why but I’m completely turned off by the company and want nothing to do with them after that response.
Am I being unreasonable? What if I had a serious CS need? I really like the rack that they make, please tell me if I am being too old school or if I should look elsewhere.

I agree with you, a company should always cater to their customers needs. I just had issues with @Stage3Motorsports and I’ll never order from them again. Move on and find the people who want to work with their customers and not just have it all their way or no way. Oh, nice rack!
I don't really have any close ups but maybe you can zoom in? I have the tonneau cover on now so I can't get any better pictures that what I already have. Unless pics with the cover on would help you?
