Remote start isn't a module add on. It's a programming thing. You just need to buy new keys.

You can do this kit, only thing is, the dealer (or you can do it thru ForScan) needs to turn on the remote start feature inside the truck.
This will give you the ability to remote start the truck from your Smart Phone only.

So my understanding is that this works if we already have the remote start, correct? I understand the ability to start it from one's cell phone, but what does the perimeter alarm sensor do?

When the door is opened or the vehicle is bumped hard enough, the horn will go off. I have it and it works fairly well.
