Default Kicker Audio Upgrade Systems from Ford!

Ford has teamed up with Kicker to bring you a complete plug and play pre-amplified sound upgrade system.

Starting with a custom enclosure, 10" woofer and a 200 watt amplifier the Sub Woofer Upgrade adds all the low end your missing without having to deal with large intrusive boxes taking up valuable space as it locates itself under the rear seat.

The Complete Audio Upgrade kit includes the amp/sub and adds four 6x8 coaxial door speakers, powered by a 4.1-channel digital signal processing amplifier.

The full line can be seen here http://www.levittownfordsupercenter...._description=1

I actually posted about this on Sunday (8-10-13) in another thread, and this is not a new thing, it's been around for quite awhile . . . also, this only works with the standard sound system, not the Sony . . .

Here is the thread I posted to about this:

It had been offered directly through Kicker previously but now it is officially a Ford Accessory and any warranty issues can be handled locally without having to remove equipment and send it back.

So this would plug and play into my XLT SuperCrew's standard system with 4.2" screen?

I'd love to know how these deal with the rolloff in the factory head unit response, or they just marry right up along without addressing it causing a significant output drop for low frequencies at max volume.

I have a 10" Rockford Fosgate subwoofer and amp for far less $$ than that.

Honestly, for a sub, two pairs of coaxials, and two amps, 1000 bucks really isn't that bad for a plug and play option with OEM fit. It would have been nice to see an upgrade option for a set of components for the two way speakers up front. I'd love to see the installation instructions, Part "F" or "G" looks like something I need...........

Go it:

Argh.....I hate instructions, me wants a schematic. They reference a white connector on the powerstage installation manual for connecting the sub, and in the substage manual they reference taping wires in the kickpanel. Damn.
