You can polish a turd but in the end, it's still a two wheel drive.

I don't have anything against two wheel drives until you start trying to make them look 4 wheel drive. Then I just shake my head and wonder why the money spend on the lift wasn't just used to buy a 4x4. Lifted two wheel drives are like guys who dump a bunch of money into their v6 mustang.

Hell yeah it is. Since you bought a FX2 I'm guessing you don't need 4X4 but may like the look of 4X4.

Here's mine with 2.5" Front, 1.25" Rear, 33s.

This is a ridiculously stupid post.

How many guys with the lifted brodozers that you see on this forum actually *needed* that lift because of their offroading. Or *needed* those bigger tires to clear obstacles off road. They did it purely for aesthetics, most of the time. Apparently having 4wd makes all those useless mods justifiable as long as it's 4wd ?

If someone wants their truck to sit a little higher, why does it matter whether or not the front 2 wheels have the ability to turn?

It's all good. I read his reasoning and it has no basis in reality. I've seen modded V6 stangs spank stock GT's. The total cost was less and insurance was cheaper. I have no want, need or desire to lift my Fx2 for a taller stance / bigger tires, but if I did it would still cost me less than buying the same thing in an Fx4.

It doesn't matter if the OP did spend more money, it is his truck and his cash. Opinions were wanted but If you only want to bash or be disrespectful, stay out of the thread.

Can't wait to see some worked 2.3 ecoboosts doing the same to GTs in the coming years

I put a 12 inch lift on a 2wd f150 and could not be stopped... Made the 4wd guys I went bogging with jealous! In the end it's all about what you like.
