Default Wheel spacers

I am looking to possibly put 2" spacers on my leveled 07 F150 but I've heard bad things about them. I was wondering if there was any guys on here who run them who could give me some insight since idk anyone personally that runs them.

Use only hud centric spacers .. suggest lock tite on the spacer threads and check torque frequently.

Right now, I'm just thinking about the brutality that's going to take place on your front outer wheel bearings.... Ouch!

With properly tourqued wheel nuts, it should be the same amount of stress as if he had wheels the same amount of backspacing

Even if you use lock tite put them on with an air impact. I used lock tie and put them on by hand and had the lovely experience of having my tire pass me up going down the road, got back to the house put it back on and checked them all with an impact and haven't had trouble since

I put 2" hub centric spacers on my 2004....so far so good....used a torque wrench, blue lock tite and put all the lugs and nuts to 150 ft/lbs I'll re-check everything in a few hundred miles

These days, no reputable tire shop ever lets a vehicle leave the service bay without the lug nuts being hand torqued. Les Schwab even has a second person check the torque. With a hand torque wrench. An impact gun should ONLY be used to 'run up' the lug nuts. The vibration from an impact gun can cause uneven torque on each lug nut.

I started working in tires at Goodyear (busting bus split rims) in 1976. The only wheels I've ever seen come off (in 41 years) are the ones that were put on with only a impact gun. 150# using a torque wrench will yield wheels that will not fall off. And using Loktite on lug nuts??? Never seen that. Never needed that. I do some pretty serious off-roading, and I have never (ever) had any lug nut-loosening issues on any vehicle used for said activity.

I put them on by hand and used lock tite on the lug nuts that held on the spacer, it came off anyway, I can go take a picture of my ground down brake rotor if you would like since it only happened 2 weeks ago and I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. After I used an impact I haven't had any problems

I'm guessing you didn't (and are not in the habit of) hand torqueing your lug nuts. That's why you've had problems...
