What would be best, locker or limited slip?

I ran a Powertrax locker in my Jeep Cherokee for over 60k miles before I sold it. Mostly on the road, and it never ate tires, never had and diff problems. I would recomend the Powertrax No Slip though, it is about 100.00 more, but is much smoother in operation than the regular locker. I think I paid 375.00 for mine. With a locker you have to learn to be easy on the throttle while taking turns, too much gas will lock the rear end up, and that is where you get all of the tire wear.

If you were to find a wallet with a few hundred $$$ more in it, I would suggest a TruTrac limited slip over a locker because your truck is a DD. Im not sure where you live but if its in the ice belt, you probably wont like the locker after the first winter. Obviously thats just one opinion.

The problem with a winch is the price. The winch is only about half of the true cost. You have to buy some kind of mount for it and a winch is only as good as the accessories you have for it. (ie: snatchblocks, D rings, anchors, extension cable or chain, ect)

has anyone ever tried to mount a winch inside the stock bumpers on the pre 97 trucks? cause i looked around and where i have my body lift i think i could fit a winch inside there and mount it to the frame cause buyin a winch is one thing but buyin a winch bumper is way outta price range.
