Default What tire size?

Recently bought a 1998 F150. I swapped a new engine into it and while I had the body off I put a 3 inch body lift on it. Just curious on what size tires I can run now. I was thinking some 34s but wasn’t sure. I’m also thinking about doing a 2 inch torsion key lift with a 3 inch block lift in the back. If I go that route what size tires can I run on top of the 3 inch body lift.

back when I had my 2003 I ran 33’s with the torsion key lift and it looked good. It all depends on the offset and rim width as well. I would say 35”s aren’t out of the realm. If you haven’t re geared already,I would plan on doing those as the 4 speed transmission will be more stressed with the added height of the wheels and extra rotational mass. The truck will be a dog when you step on it as well. I put 4:10 gears in and bought a tuner to recalibrate the speedo and it brought it up to stock feel when driving. And that was with running the 33’s.

Just because you can stuff the tires inside the fenders doesn't mean they will work well. The engine you have along with axle ratio are key. I had a 98 and an 03 with the 4.6L engine and it was underpowered with factory tire size. If you have the 5.4 and 3.73 gears you'll be OK with 33" tires. If you have 3.55 or higher gears you might be better off staying stock unless you regear. To go with 34 or 35" tires you need to regear
