what are some must haves for offroad
#5
A buddy, Tough Tow Straps, and a Cell Phone are always good to have. The hardest part about offroading is learning your trucks limits, once you know what you can can't and might have a hard time making it through the rest is up to you. If you aren't afraid of getting stuck and your buddy doesn't mind pulling you out have at it. Offraoding is all about having a good time, so whatever fits your fancy.

^^Yep, go out w/ a truck/buddy or two and have some fun. Try to get stuck, etc. Once you learn your truck's (and your) limits, you'll know what you can and cannot do.
When wheeling, always go w/ another vehicle. Make sure you have recovery points front and rear. Bring recovery straps (rated for twice the weight of the vehicle and w/ looped ends, not hooks), a Hi-Lift jack, shovel, tools, air compressor (if you need to air down), full size spare tire.

What everyone stated plus...... Find a club near you or someone who has been off road and go with them. To paraphrase the warnings; Do not go alone. The first few times or until you know your truck's limits go during the day.
