what size tires won't totally kill my gas mileage.?
I just put a set of bushwaker fender flares on my 2012 leveled 2.5 front and 3.0 rear. Eco screw 6.5 box FX4 And I need some new tires to finish it off. I have mayhem tanks black with the contrast cut and they are 20x9 with +18 off set. And my question is what size/brad tires should look run to get the proper look but not kill my milage? Thanks for your help guys.

I noticed a very small drop when going from 275/55R20(Stock) to 275/60R20.
They are the same width as stock but are 1" taller.
I'd post a picture, but mine is a 2WD with a 2.5" Leveling Kit, not 4X4.
Yours having bigger than stock flares a wider tire would look much better, but MOG would suffer.
Maybe a 295/55R20(32.77X11.61) or 305/55R20(33.2X12.00

Size is a big factor, but weight is the real killer. I've had 37X12.5 BFG all terrains, and then 35X12.5 Toyo M/T. They were smaller BUT I got worse mileage based on the heavy weight of the tire. Look into tires like Toyo A/T2, BFG All-terrains, etc.. I'd say stick with a tire around 33" ish.

I'd say that getting something with a very agressive tread like Mud Terrains as opposed to a more mild AT tread will eat your mileage a lot more. I noticed about a 2-3 mpg loss with a 2.5" level and 34" BFG TA KO's compared to stock Goodyear Wranglers

I would go 275/60r 20 since they will be p rated and much lighter. If you go bigger it will probably be 10 ply or LT rated which is a much heavier tire and will hurt gas mileage and your ride.

These are P275x60x20 Toyo AT2's I had on my '11 Lariat that was leveled 2 inches...decent look's and weighed only 43 lbs so gas mileage didn't suffer. Another good choice would be a LT285x60x20 Goodyear Duratrac which is lighter then most LT tires.

also important to note is your rims. A crazy heavy rim is gonna add alot of weight to the already heavy tires ( as others said, weight kills)
my truck has 35's , but i have fairly lightweight rims, so i still manage to pull 21mpg @ 55 mph on flat ground
