unimog axles..... Has anyone done it......

Default unimog axles..... Has anyone done it......

Wana know if anyone has done it and if there is a better way to do this..... Is it better than to just do a straight axle with dana 44's? Let me know what you know.......

Dude that was awesome...... One of the guys around here wants to do that to my truck when I leave to go down range next year...... I know for sure that I wana straight axle it.... these are what he wants to put on..... I cant wait either way its gona be sick!!

the only difference in setting them up will be the cost of the axles themselves. Unimogs are not cheap and even more exspensive to build. unless you are serious in to rock crawling where you need the extra ground clearance then i wouldn't waste your money.

as far as setting them up, it will be the same as any other straight axle. you're going to have to cut all the ifs stuff out from under your truck and plate your frame in the crumple zone to run leafs, or set up a coil type suspension.

That's not the only difference.

The Unimog axles would need a pinion conversion as well, Unimogs run torque tubes (fully enclosed drive shafts) so you'd need to have someone convert them to regular drive shafts as well.
