Default Skid plates

I am looking at getting skid plates for an 04 F150. It has nothing protecting the oil pan, transmission or transfer case. I am thinking of looking for an FX4 in a junk yard, but I dont really know what skid plates they came with stock, and I cant find anything aftermarket that looks like it would fit the truck.

If nothing else I guess I would just get some plate steel and fab up some on my own. Can anyone post some pics of their stock FX4 skid plates on an 04 - 08 or some pics of aftermarket ones that worked?

Thanks!

This & the NEXT few show a skidplate I made. It's strong enough to support the truck (tested a few times).

Did they ever make ones for lifted trucks? Half pointless to put them on a stock truck with limited ground clearance anyway.

Really? My truck is not lifted (2" level only), and I bet I take my truck places that most would be scared to take their trucks. I have full RCI skids. And, they've done their job a few times.
As an example:

Huh? What is not "stock" about my truck? I have 34" tires, AMP steps and a 2" level. I guess I'm missing something...

I'd like the RCI, but because of the crossmember included with lift kits, can't do it.

RCI no longer makes a kit for the 04-08 model trucks. I just contacted them this week about some for my truck. I am looking for options as well. Only thing I have come up with is finding an FX4 at a junk yard, or having some custom made.
