Default Can't decide if I want a 4" or 6" lift

Im fairly new to the page and this is my first post. I've got a 2004 XLT and was just looking for some advice on what might look good on my truck. I plan on blacking it out when all is said and done. I get told all the time that I have a great looking truck but I think it could always look better.

Welcome to the forum. Find the threads regarding 4" and 6" lifts and go through the oodles of pics. Find the lift / tire combo that you think looks best and go for it.

Search for awhile on the forum and you will find in some of the lift threads what people may like or dislike about what they went with. I'm going for the 4 inch for functionality. It gets a little harder to tow and put things in the bed when going more than 4 inch and 35's or bigger for me. It depends on what you use it for daily.

4 inch and 35's, 6 inch and 37's. 37's need a regear, 35's don't near as much and you can manage without (unless you want one, then get 4.10's).

Why do a 6 inch lift and run 37s when you could do 4" and run 37 12.50 mud or all terrain tires on stock wheels. I plan on running 4" rough country lift with 37s.

For going up mountains and trails I say 4in lift because its not as likely to roll and be unsteady.
