Default Should I install body lift

I have a 2001 Ford f-150 xlt 4x4 super crew. 285/75/17 with 17x9.5 HELO wheels. Bull bar and 20" light bar. I want to lift it. I can't really afford a suspension lift rigjt now, but I can a body lift. I just bought tires and wheels. Should I just go ahead and install body lift and be happy or should I save and put a 5“ Rough Country lift on it. It's a daily driver. Almost no off road use. Your guys thoughts? Pics of what you have done?

Take it from someone who installed a body lift (years ago) on another truck: Do NOT install a body lift! Why do you want to lift your truck... looks? Pssshhh...

All a body lift does is give you tire clearance (maybe) and raise your center-of-gravity; which, will do little more than make your truck more dangerous, even on the street.

Save your money and do a proper lift.

Oh, and as regards my "other truck"? The body lift ended up contributing to the roll-over (5 times) of a much more capable off road vehicle than an F150.

It's quite risky to install a body lift and it's not even legal to do it in other states. I've heard a lot of horror stories, especially with shifter complications.

Thanks guys. I'll probably be just putting a 5" rough country lift on it. That's plenty for me. Then later add some 35" when these 33" wear out.
