Default Remove rear blocks??

I have a 2006 xlt 4x4 with a 2" level in the front and 2" blocks in the rear. Can I remove the rear blocks to make up for the rake in the front of the truck? The rear end sits 1" higher than the front. Can I remove the blocks all together or should I just go with 1" blocks instead??

Just depends on the look you want- level or lower in the rear.

My original answer that I gave in the other thread you started entitled "Level Lift Question!!" is still valid. As Scott91370 mentioned above...it's your truck and you can accomplish whatever look you desire...just do it correctly and safely with the safety of other drivers on your mind.

One last question. If I decide to go with the 1" blocks in their rear will that raise the front of the truck any? Or will it stay the same and only lower the rear?

The front will stay the same at the center of the wheel well. The front bumper will move up slightly, I don't have measurements but rough estimate would be approx 1/8" at the front bumper. Removing the 2" block will raise the front bumper 2x as much as swapping to a 1" block.

Also, 2009-2014 4x4 F150s come factory with a tapered 1.25" lift block that will your 2006. Lifted guys usually sell the take-offs pretty cheap compared to buying a new 1" aftermarket block.

So if I took the 2" blocks out and didn't put a 1" or anything back in its place would it hurt anything? In other words is it okay not to have a block in the rear?

No...won't hurt anything. But will really sag if you tow.

Removing or adding blocks to the rear isn't going to hurt anything. It just depends on what look you like better. I would just recommend taking your truck into to get your alignment checked if you change the suspension geometry. It could end up throwing it off enough it would need to get realigned.

1" rake looks better than perfectly flat IMO and will be better for offroading. Which, I assume, is what you're doing since this is the offroad section
