I thought all 3.5 Ecoboost trucks have the 9.75" rear axle. I see they quoted you for an 8.8. Is that correct?
apparently most have an 8.8 and mine is a 9.75 so they had to recalculate. There was really only a 100$ difference.

The quote I posted was for 9.75 rear but I know some parts still say 8.8.

I towed my friends boat this summer and was able to pull the it up the hills without dropping speed, although it did kick down a gear on some of the steeper inclines.

I'm happy with my selection. If your looking for crazy low end grunt then go with the taller 4.56 gears, but you'll trade off gas mileage and top cruising speed.
I live in Florida so I don’t think I really need a lot of “grunt” if I ever tow anything. I think 4.10 may be the better option. I just want a gear that if I ever took the lift off and went back to a stick tires size it would need a gear swap again. But I don’t plan doing that at this time or in the near future.
