Question Prerunner Bumpers in Canada?

So I've been planning on building my own front prerunner bumper for my truck, only problem is I'm not entirely sure if they're legal where I live, in ontario, Canada. I looked on the MTO's website, and all it said was that it's legal as long as it provides the same level of protection as the original bumper, so it seems like I'll be good, I just wanna make sure before I chop off my frame ends . Anybody know for sure?

I wouldn't trust the Crown to give you benefit of the doubt. Go for it, if the OPP or insurance company take issue, lawyer up.

I am from Ont too and I have tons of friends with Pre-runner bumpers and they have never had any trouble and plus they have bigger things to deal with then some jacked up trucks.
