Need Help with Forest Service Road Night Lighting

A word of caution from experience - those Amazon lights are not good. And good luck getting any help with them when (not if) they fail. Search around for a used light bar that is a higher quality product if you don't want to spend the big money on new. You probably won't need a radius bar if you are mounting it to a roof rack. A straight 50" bar, or even a 30"-40" bar will probably be sufficient.
Good luck with your search, and let me know if you need any advice on manufacturers.

I do have a budget sidetrackedoffroad bar that has held up very well for me. But it's not very bright at all

I'm not suggesting Rigids. Go to www.crownoffroad.com and look at what they have to offer. Right now you can get a KCHilites 30" C-Series bar for around $400 that will blow any of that Amazon crap out of the water. And they come with a 23 year warranty. That's the kind of quality I'm talking about. Sure, you might get lucky with a cheap knock-off for a while, but beat a 23 year warranty? I don't think so. Just my opinion......

Personally I'm running a set of retrofits with HID's, LED fog lights, and I have some 100W KC Daylighters on my bull bar. I've never had a problem with seeing, but I don't think I've ever gotten somewhere quite THAT dark. I haven't used any of the sites listed but they are often ran on various vehicles I've seen on Instagram and on show trucks. You can find quality lights for half the price of rigid lights. I would think see if a 30" radius can fit in the bull bar. It'll be a combo bar, so the sides will be flood lights, while the middle is spot. The curve of the bar will throw light in front of the truck and to the sides.

I've had light bars literally last under a week from Amazon, rigid is way overpriced. I'd recommend checking out kc. Nice happy medium price wise with a great USA based company and 23year warranty.

So we are all agreeing, Rigid is over priced. Anyone want to counter that?

For distance lighting, it's hard to beat the vision X light cannons. Instant on, long and focused beam, minimal power draw. Plus, they make a range of covers that allow you to change the beam pattern and color.
As far as light bars go? I run a KC C20 on my bumper that puts out some pretty good light and they aren't super expensive like rigid. I've heard some good things about the KC flex as well and I have a pair on my bumper to provide some good lighting out to the sides. For how small they are, they sure out out a lot of light!

Idaho sure is great isn't it?
I had Lightforce 240s on my Tacoma. Light output is amazing, but they are pretty big. The cool part about lightforce is they offer different filters you can put on them depending on conditions.
LED is eh... I was very disappointed in the Rigid bar I have on my rhino, I figured for the money it should turn the night into day. Not so much. Here is a shot of my Tacoma with 240s to give a size reference.
