Default Just how much off-roading can I handle?

Let's be upfront... I've owned a Jeep Wrangler since I was a kid and I have plenty offroading experiences and I know what she can handle...

But I recently purchased a 2010 Ford F-150 STX, and I'm curious for some knowledge from the more experienced Truck drivers.

Just how much "off-roading" can my Ford handle?

Well most STX's are not 4 wheel so not a lot. I am to a current Wrangler owner so I know a thing or two about going off road. I would stay out of mud and try to not go down tight and technical trails. Long wheel bases will get you hung up and you'll probably bottom out. Just stay on well made trails and you'll be fine

Wheeling a fullsize takes more skill then a compact 4x4, you would be surprised how much you can do... IF your willing to risk a little body damage. I wheel with jeeps and small suvs Just have a pick different lines. Mind you there's some obstacles I bypass because I don't have enough gc. What and where you wheel is also a factor. Lots of trees and tight jeep trails you may wanna stay out.

Your truck will eventually get stuck, they all do. Don't wheel without a buddy, but that goes for everyone. When I first took my 04 screw off road, I had trouble, as I was coming from a 78 jeep cj5. The truck is easier to drive in that it is very stable, and is an auto. Its never broken or even been stuck. I had trouble because the truck wouldn't fit on a 4-wheeler trail like a jeep. I say get a buddy and go. Just be careful, have fun, and stay safe.
