Default Lift kit - took a hit

Went on some trails and took a decent hit from a rock at some point. At first, I thought it was just the shocks bottoming out. Turns out the front crossmember got dinged.

It also seemed to push it up into the frame mount a little. See pics.

For standard street driving, I should be okay right? I drove it 400 miles back home Monday and back and forth to work just fine. Might have it looked at by a shop tomorrow just to be safe. And I need to re-align and re-tighten everything still.

Weld looks ok just separation where it wasn't welded. You might look me to bending it back and having it fully welded to make it stronger.

Will it bend more if not fixed? Tough to say, I would drive it though.

What is IFS wheeling?

Getting another alignment done Thursday morning. I plan on asking the suspension guy there what he thinks. I also have a .75-1'' higher front compared to the rear.

he's saying these are the issues with off roading with Independent Front Suspension.

I'm curious to see if the bolt hole for the drop down bracket is just a hole or if it is oval like the factory LCA mount. If that is the case, it's probably just a matter of loosening everything, re-centering and retightening.

No it wouldn't of. You would have either dented or broken an axle tube or punched a hole in your diff cover. Did it when I went to a Dana 60 and 14BFF on my K10.

Clearance seems about same, if not worse because of the crossmember. Looks like I would have to go up in tire size to fix that.

You could always get adjustable coilovers to press those control arms down a little bit more, essentially leveling it and getting those cross members a bit farther off the ground
