Default Lift Kit Suggestions - 2013 F150 XLT

Just started getting time to head back into the woods to hunt. So I am on logging roads in the mountains with heavy pot holes etc, missed seeing a 'small' of centre hole and I bounced a 'little'. Later I find that I couldn't open my passenger side front door as the running board had been pushed up, huh go figure.

So the question is, do I need a lift kit, bigger tires etc or something else? Couple of notes; I am not really into this for looks it needs to function and be practical for its use as described above, also I pull a 30 foot travel trailer ( no never on those logging roads...well also most never ).

Suggestions and tips most welcome.

Thank you

I would go with any bolt on 3in lift kits. You can install them with basic tools and can remove it down the road if you do not like it or wish to return your truck to stock. I would stay away from any of the bigger lifts and they require cutting and drilling into your frame which would be permeant.

In lift kits is there a 'Go To Brand'?

The two I have heard the most positive reviews for are BDS and Fabtech. I think they both make a 4 inch lift kit.

Zone and BDS are owned by fox. Main difference is BDS has a better warranty and little better powdercoat finish. Installers have told me both kits look identical except those things. I will most likely go with zone to save $600 in cost and invest that extra in to better off road shocks.

Problem with zone is no small lift. Just leveling kit. If you’re looking for more than 2” but less than 6” I don’t think zone would work
