Default Lift Kit.

Ok, before i even get into this topic. yes yes i know im stupid why lift a 2wd thats a waste of money. blah blah. I have a bone stock2005 5.4 f150 and i have weighed my options and going low on big rims just doest suit me. im looking to do around a 6" fabtech lift and 35x12.50R18. maybe on some black rockstars. I know i want to lift and do at least 35's but yalls input and info would be greatly appreciated being that i am not insanely rich and would like to do it right the first time. Pictures would be great to. thank you

might have some rubbings with 35 grapplers. also if you ain't rich or money is an issue, don't buy grapplers unless you can afford a 30k mile tire.

Red face

ah money isnt too tight but i dont want to be spending unnecessary money. 30k mile tire is no problem. just dont want to be changing rims or lifts. ive heard nothing but good about the fabtech lift from a few people just didnt know if there were others out there that people were using and were better.

rize does not make lifts for 2wd f150's. your only options for a 2wd 6 inch lift are pro comp and fabtech, of those 2, fabtech~~~hands down.

I know some people dont like the Pro Comp but im actually pretty happy with mine. Its the stage 1 with the spacers (Only regret) but it rides nice and its cheaper then fabtech from the research i have done. I hear the Fabtech is better though also and if I had the cash at the time I probably would have went with it. Good choice on the Mud Grapplers though I love the hum they make and they perform well off road.

IMO stock shocks cannot handle 35 inch tires.

yea im pretty sure im gunna go with the fabtech lift kit. not gunna use the same shocks. thats a real nice truck sick f1. ive been looking and the price difference isnt enough to even make a difference really. so im just gunna spend a little more and do the fabtech. yea the grapplers are fkn awesome. they got the killer look and hell 30k and too bad out of a mud terrain. **** i gotta change tires every 10k on my mustang, drag radials wear so quick it aint funny.

Thanks man and my next truck will be either Fabtech or Rize so I can compare the difference between the lift kits. Also I was skeptical about using the stock shocks and struts but they handle fine even with tires as big as 37s but yea go big or go home . Make sure to show us some pics when you get it done
