Leveling kit questions

Hello guys first time poster here!
Anyway I have a 08 f150 xlt 4x4 and I have been doing some research and have a few questions.

Leveling kit 2.5"- should I do add a leaf or block? Will be doing some light off roading / hauling but don't want it to be to stiff.

Tires- I plan on doing 285/75r17 toyo a/t2 tires would their be any rubbing or trimming involved with stock 17 X 7.5 rims ? Also would this poke out at all?

Any help/advice would be appreciated thanks

Do you want your truck to sit “Level"

No I would like maybe an 1-1.5 rake

Can you tell me why? I know it will make it more stiffer but would it still be comfortable?

For your desired rake my choice would be to go with a 2.5" level and a 1 inch block in the rear. I would prefer not to make it any stiffer as you loose axle articulation. The tires are at the limit of the wheel width but they'll be okay as long as you keep the pressure reasonable. If you run them too hard the centers will wear prematurely. You'll have no rubbing issues, they'll fit just fine. I'm running the 2.5" / 1" and LT285/75/18 on factory 7.5" wheels and only occasionally rub (the frame) at full turn. I typically run them at 36 psi and they wear very evenly. Of course if I'm going to haul something heavy I'll take the rear tires up to 50.
