Yet another Desert Camp
Five weekends in a row camping in the Liwa desert. left our tent set up a couple of times and come back the next week to find it fully intact with all pegs still holding and still no other vehicle tracks other than our own. Unfortunately it looks like we'll be sitting home next weekend... Just as well as we had some unexpected visitors drive by within 300 meters of our camp. The annual UAE Desert Fun Drive marshals were carving their path for next week's event. There tend to be a few lunatics that tag along but arent part of the actual event and cause mayhem all along the course. Dont want to be anywhere near it. That and if the camp is set up it'll give others insight into our nice secluded spot. Think next we'll move little further into the dunes, away from the route and hidden well in a dune bowl. We took a bit of a walk the other morning and found a great new spot about 2km further in from our normal spot. If we get it right, might be able to use the side of the dune with our projector....
Another Crappy Sunset
our next camp location, inside the bowl... sides and back are between 15-30' tall, the pic above is a bit deceiving..

For some reason, the system counts each picture twice when posting.....
about 50 marshals rollin by camp
bit of fog in the morning makes a soggy start to the day
but it does look kinda cool

Best I could do. I will regret going up this road as long as I own the truck. Truck went up and down ok, but the road was a pointless exercise as it was a dead end with no real payback. Lots of the bushes along that road now have red paint on them:

I found some from the Georgia mountains and a video where my friend did some weird editing to make it worse. Some of pictures are from when my truck has stock tires.
