Don't forget the approximately 20º drop angle of the trail...
How's wheeling the Ecoboost? THis will be my first season with mine. I don't do anything too crazy, just some mild overlanding. I was second guessing my decision because of the limited winch mounting options. I also wonder about heat soaking the intercooler, and whether that's an issue.

My son and I went out for a little wheelin' and a little hikin' in the Anza Borrego desert yesterday. Beautiful day, great time being out with my son and of course, a blast rolling along in the F150.

Wheelin' in the EcoBoost: Let me fill in the blanks here: the 5.0L has 390 ft lbs torque at 5,000 rpm. The 3.5L EcoBoost has 411 ft lbs torque at 2,500 rpm (in the stock configuration). Need I say more?

As far as winching, have a look at my front bumper/winch hitch thread:

My solution to the EcoBoost/winch/airflow to the intercooler issue.

I have a 2/1 level, 285/70r17 cooper all terrains, full RCI skids, and custom built rock sliders. I'll swap out the level for some better coilover but height will more or less remain the same and then add bumpers.
