Hey I was curious if anyone has made any custom mounts for their LED light bars. I have a cree 52" curved that I'm mounting at about just below headlight level so I wont have to drill into my truck. I am making a mount to bolt where the tow hooks went and then making d shackle mounts so I won't lose my tow hooks.

I recently was drilling out the hole on the side mounts to allow for a larger bolt to fit through. Well long story short I ended up cracking the side mount and I really don't want to wait 2 weeks to get a new set from China.

I was wondering if anyone has made custom mounts for theirs and had any problems with the light vibrating down because they didn't have the grooves like the original mounts have? I was planning on making my own mounts out of 1/4" steel but stopped when a buddy mentioned the grooves. Any comments insight into this would be great!
