How much to air down for off-road

I always air down to 14-18 PSI on my LT's. 14 for rocks and 18 for sand. Unless you purchased a rim too wide for the tire, these are safe low-speed pressures. Any less air and there is very little flex so it's kind of pointless. For reference, I have been wheeling for over 30 years and every-single-person I wheel with run the same pressures. Never popped a bead.
