Default Hard Rock Off Road Park Ocala Trip

Hey everyone! So a buddy and myself went down to hard rock to have some fun and man did we have a blast! It's a LOT more vertical than you might expect for being in Florida (some of the hills were reading 30+ degrees on the truck) and there are TONS of trails! We almost didn't get to go as the throttle body on his 3.5 eco crapped out literally as we were starting up to head down there but the local NAPA had one in stock for $90! Maybe next time we go some more folks might be interested in tagging along? Anyway here's some pictures of our afternoon in the woods!

Awesome! Me and my buddies head up there every couple of months. It's always a great time.

That looks awesome! My wife grew up in that srea and has been there. We're in Texas, so just went to a locsl place last weekend. I need a winch!

I just realized you have a Westin bumper, how do you like it? I was looking at their winch tray, or the Fab Four also. Can't decide which I like better.

Nice! I love the westin bumper! It's built really, really well and offers tons of protection for the front end. Also, Its rated to pull 16,500 pounds or push 12,000 pounds which should be more than I'll ever need!

So that looks like a lot of mud caked into the front, how was cleanup? I didn't have near that much, but went to a hand spray car wash, spent like $7 there, then a drive thru wash and it came out pretty good.

Yea that was some crazy sticky stuff out there! It took me about 3 hours underneath with a hose at the house to get all the mud/clay out from the bottom but you can hardly tell I was that deep in the mud after I was done. Not the most fun thing I've ever done but well worth it for all the fun I had! I can't wait to go out there again!

Yep, that's exactly what I do. That high-pressure sprayer at the hand-spray car wash plus the wide "brush on a pole" they have work great. And maybe most importantly, all that mud goes right down the drain! When I off-road I even use google maps to see if there's one nearby, so I can wash it before the drive home. If you get concrete-like mud chunks on the inside of the wheels and try to drive home, you can get a pretty good case of the wobbles at 60mph (not to mention pelting the people behind you with slabs of dried mud LOL).
