Happy medium for tires?
Hey guys, im looking into getting new tires in the near future, but wanna know what to look for. Right now im running 265/70/17 Maxxis Bighorns with my 2000 4.6. I don't really like the tires, but I got em for free. I want a tire with a less aggressive AT tread. Id like to go a bit bigger (maybe 285/70/17), but dont wanna drain my fuel mileage. What do y'all think?

I'm running 275/55/20 Cooper Discoverer AT3's, Ive had them for about 10K now and they have got me through everything out camping and sledding. They have an aggressive look. Not a lot of road noise and my fuel milage is good too.

Also, I was looking at the general grabber at2s. Anyone know anything about em?

And what do yall think ill lose moving up to 285/70/17. I wanna say the stock tires are like 255/70/16.
Also, will I have a problem with the 285s rubbing?

mpg wise there are so many factors that contribute. Tire weight, rolling resistance, pressure etc. Don't forget, you will need to get your speedometer re-calibrated for the change in tire diameter.
Rubbing wise read the following thread. At the very end of the first post is a link to some data that is pretty handy.
