yes, you could. There are many aftermarket options however that will perform better.
What is your budget and how are you planning on using the truck? Mostly highway, some offroading (what kind), just want it to feel more planted over bumps on the road?

Then people can point you in the right direction

Forgot to ask if you want to level the truck at all, or just leave it stock height.

Either way, check out this guys thread
https://www.f150forum.com/f59/fox-2-...-block-341862/

You could do something like that. Those Fox shocks are a good beginner coilover for the front for some light duty offroading.
I personally have the Raptor rear shocks on my truck and they are a HUGE improvement over the stock FX4 shocks.

I've also had Bilstein 5100s. I wouldn't recommend the fronts, the rears were better than stock.

I then switched to Rancho Quicklifts in front, and 9000XL shocks in the rear. Better than the Bilsteins, but still not what I was looking for. (this setup may work well for you if you want to level the front end of the truck at all, as they make it sit higher by 2". They're also fairly cost friendly)

Now have the raptor shocks on the rear and will be getting Icon 2.5s up front, which are a bit more money than the Fox 2.0s in the thread above.

Lots of options out there

A friend of mine has a '15 4x4, and his wife was just about to make him get rid of it because it was such a harsh riding truck. (they've both been in my truck and love the way it rides).

So, 2 weeks ago we installed F150Lifts' BOSS suspension. No level, no lift. And I am happy to report that my friend's marriage is now safe! The ride quality difference almost can't be described, you have to experience it for yourself.

For what it's worth, I just sold a guy my Rancho rear 9000XL adjustable shocks with 6000 miles on them and he said they were night and day better than the BOSS standard non reservoir shocks.
The Fox 2.5s (same shock that's on raptors) are WAY smoother than the Ranchos I had.
My vote would be to find some Raptor take offs. I found mine for $350 with 15k on them, I seemed to have got lucky. Going price seems to be $4-500 used. Search on http://www.fordraptorforum.com/ for used ones as well.

If you want stock ride height be sure to adjust the Fox coilovers to stock height BEFORE installing! They come preset at 2" of lift I believe and they need to be unloaded to adjust them or you'll strip the lock collars
