I think so yes. They were used in building a liquified natural gas terminal but they aren't being used now. There is 1000's of feet of it. Crazy they'd just let it rust away in a feild

If you can scrap it, there's thousands of dollars laying out there lol! I wouldn't Even wanna know what they payed for it. It amazes me how big bisiness just leaves stuff.

Off-topic: my dad works at AT&T at the central office. We took a "tour" of the building it was built in the 60s and it was a boomin building up till the economy took a crap a few years back. Now it's a ghost town there's two floors of desks stacked around and flipped over, chairs tacked around papers knocked over. Computers and monitors laying all over, it's unreal the money they just leave. So wasteful.

But when it does depending on where it breaks it's not goin to be pretty

well with my knot placement the only place it would really break is somewhere in the middle (theoretically) which means i just have fabric that would potentially hit something and cause damage, which shouldnt really cause too much. I do know its way better than a cable or chain snapping and coming through the windshield. so untill i buy a real tow strap, ratchet straps work fine.

Well it will break on the knot. Knots drastically reduce the strength.
