Anyone got any ideas where would be safe place to hook a rope to get myself pulled out of whatever I'd get stuck in? I have the hitch on the back, but I'm always worried about getting stuck and if they can't get to my back bumper I'm screwed

You don't have tow hooks in the front? Mine are frickin MANGLED. The PO obviously got stuck in some pretty bad stuff on more than one occasion.... they're like 1/2 way ripped off.

a 2wd wont have tow hooks. just tie to anything frame or possibly your bumper. the pre 97s come with solid steel buumpers so anything short of a runnin start jerk its gonna hold up fine

I'm really reluctant to do it to the bumper, because I can manhandle that myself and make it move enough that I see it and it annoys me... I'll see what kind of frame area I can find to hook up to
