Dirt freeks long travel kit 09+ f150

1 Attachment(s)
Alright guys so I'm here to start a new thead and show off the 2009+ f150 prerunner kit that dirt freeks offers. This shop is located here in Las Vegas Nevada and the kit price is 2800$ it comes with boxed upper control arms , boxed lower controll arms steering extensions and limit straps / tabs. They expect at least 14 " of travel with a 10" coilover and the best part is that they keep the stock coil bucket. They have a boxed shock mount that goes on top of the coil bucket to house the 10" coilover. I'm stoked to have the kit. They start building it come January 1st. As of them when my truck is in the shop getting the kit installed ( January 17) I will be selling my camburg upper control arms and king oem coilovers. Feel free to send me messages on here if you'd be interested in them!

2wd and after I sell my parts I'm going to plan on doing raptor 3.0 bypass shocks that mount in the factory spot.

How did your original kit perform offroad? What made you get the LT?

My original kit performed badass! It's the ultimate Daily driver set up. And soaks up wayyyyy more than I thought it ever would. The reason I want to go long travel is that I want my front end to be able to keep up with my friends out here in Vegas. I'd like to participate in Barstow / lucerne trips with them and mid travel just isn't quite enough. So I figured I have to pull the trigger on a long travel kit so I can keep up with them.

$2800 seems like a steal for a long travel kit. What coilovers are you going with? I am assuming those will be close to the cost of the LTK.

Long Travel is over 17", this is a mid-travel kit.

That's more of an opinion. Most company's that offer longtravel kits don't always pull more than 17". I'd consider mid travel anything that doesn't have fully fabricated lowers. But like I said it's all opionated

Just because the company calls it LT, that doesn't make it LT. That's marketing 101.

The Raptor is widely accepted as MT and can pull 13" with just a UNI UCA and 14" with a fabbed lower.

The designator of MT vs LT doesn't have anything to do with fabricated parts, it has to do with measured travel.

I started a thread on this topic here:
https://www.f150forum.com/f34/mid-tr...thread-224051/

I'm not knocking you, what you are doing or the gear you are doing it with. Just trying to gently point out the difference between LT and MT.

I just spent almost 40k on my MT setup (and supporting mods) and I'm at 14" up front, 16" out back. I'd love to say I was LT but those kits are three times as much and increase track width another 3" over factory Raptor width.
